Not All Dog Washers Are The Same
Perfect Paws began life as a humble dogwash business covering Perth’s Northern suburbs.
Just as the Hydrobath Professionals set about washing dogs it became clear that two different schools of thought existed when it came to caring for others people’s dogs.
As an industry in its infancy dogwashing was not something operators studied at TAFE nor was it subject to government licensing. Unfortunately most of the operations out there at the time where not professional and often caused extensive skin complaints amongst the dogs.
Added to this was the fact that operators simply used chemicals simply because there where no other dogwashing related consumables to use.
Worse still the hydrobaths used where simplified single tank units that offered absolutely no rinsing facilities what so ever. This in turn meant that if the dog was dirty the wash tank would eventually become filthy and eventually your dog would be left with dirty eater to dry on the coat.
When you add washing solutions that lather you are then also further risking the health of your pet as these surfactants or detergents are then left to dry on the dog along with the dirty water.
As you can imagine dirty soapy water left to dry is never a good thing and can lead to all manner of skin irritations. To quantify this logic simply ask yourself the question – would you leave dirty soapy water to dry in your hair?
As the years have passed more and more operators have come into the industry and unfortunately not all have heeded the simple aspects of washing and rinsing dogs.
With this in mind Perfect Paws set about to improve the industry with its ex dogwashing experience and although not many friends where made the industry started to stop and think is there a better way?
The equipment used by professional operators has improved immensely over the last few years so this factor can no longer be blamed for the increasing issues attached to poor dogwashing results and ongoing animal health related issues.
Ultimately it comes down to you the end dog owner. Have a read of section titled The Importance of Rinsing as found in our Hydrobath section. In it you will further information on why rinsing is so critical to health of your dog.
As lovers of all things canine we want to ensure you are fully aware of the importance of rinsing and why we would recommend you choose a dog wash operator that not only rinses the dog with fresh clean water but also takes the time out to provide more than just a wash.
Within a very short period of time Perfect Paws will launch a directory of recommended dogwash operators around Australia that meet the minimum standards of rinsing and indeed keep the welfare and health of your pet in mind.
Currently we have a database of recommended dogwash operators who not only have the right equipment but also the right systems and attitudes in order to ensure your pet comes first.
