Mobile Hydrobaths
The term Hydrobath refers to an enclosure which can contain an animal for a short period of time whilst water held in a hidden tank can be pumped through a hose and then recycled onto the dog at will.
Ever since the late 1980's hydrobaths have provided an easy and effective way of washing dogs, in particularly in a mobile fashion.
As depicted in the section titled, The Importance of Rinsing not all Hydrobaths are the same.
Unfortunately the old school of thinking was simply to rinse the dog in the water kept in a tank under the where the dog is standing. This water is recycled through the animals coat via the pump housed under the Hydrobath and then the dog is chamois dried to remove excess water from the coat.
The operator then simply hands control over to the customer for a fee.
Over time it has been proven that a non rinsing hydrobath can have detrimental effects on the health of the animal in particular to the health of the skin.
All too often the wash tank water left after a dog is washed is absolutely filthy. If you don't believe us take a look at the bottom holding tank after the operator has finished. Would you leave this water to dry on your hair and body?
This dirty water is known as Gray water and ultimately is made up of a mixture of dirt from the dog, ingredients that make up the flea rinse or wash product used and in some really rare cases dirty water from the previous dog washed.
Times have changed and now the industry is presented with an opportunity to upgrade to a better system.
